Biomedical Development Corporation

Biomedical Development Corporation (BDC) is a for profit business dedicated to the research, development, and commercialization of innovative products in the medical and health care fields.  BDC licenses innovative technologies and manages their development through a series of multidisciplinary collaborations between inventors, consultants, and an in-house staff of scientists.

BDC participates in the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Technology Transfer (STTR) programs of the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  BDC is the number one recipient of SBIR funds from NIH in the state of Texas (FY 1997).

The primary research interests of BDC involve infection control and topical/transdermal drug delivery systems.  BDC was established in 1983 and is located in San Antonio, Texas.
